I have worked inside non-profits, Fortune 500 companies, startups, and founder-led brands for over a decade. I have seen what doesn’t work over and over again.
most businesses we see out in the world were created by somebody’s mind, not somebody’s body. the difference can be felt. having worked behind the scenes in many of these organizations, I can tell you – creating a business from the mind becomes a very expensive endeavor.
when engaged correctly, business can be a generative force for your life and the lives of those who interact with your business.
when we follow the “rules” of business at the expense of our own way, we end up building an inefficient organization that becomes difficult for our bodies to maintain. because it is not resourced by life, we end up needing to pull in outside resources to maintain it.
when we follow the pace of our bodies, there will always be resources available. when we allow the mind to influence our decision making and push us to move faster, we get out ahead of the energy, and end up playing a perpetual game of catch up. we’re trying to hold something that we don’t actually have the capacity to hold yet. it wears on our bodies, depletes our resources, and eventually leads to burnout, lack of inspiration, and things just not feeling good.
erotic business is a practice of staying with your body when the world is constantly demanding you leave it. we practice doing what feels good, and investigating what and why things aren’t feeling good.
erotic business school is gathering together leaders who are interested in paving a new path and being in collaboration with other entrepreneurs who are committed to doing it their way.
while I have no idea what will emerge in the space, I intuit that this beta group will lay the foundation for an ecosystem where leaders we will share information, intuitions, and resources with one another. I see this work creating its own web.
