this conversation arose in my kitchen on May 7th. I was in a cataclysmic emotional process and needed some emotional support. Chiara offered and I sweetened the tribal bargain with dinner. I had successfully convinced Chiara to come to Jaye’s Erotics of Resistance YinWarrior Leadership Intensive, and so this convo took place after day one of the intensive whilst preparing my homemade vodka sauce.

I first met Chiara in Santa Fe at the High Desert Human Design conference in 2022. She was still living in Sydney, Australia at the time, and I was married in a corporate consulting job living in Austin, Texas. two years later, we both ended up moving to Santa Fe. when we first started hanging out, we were both really fucked up from human design and struggling a lot. exhaustion, chronic fatigue, lack of clarity around what we’re supposed to be doing with our lives, broke, no jobs, no friends, no life. something about our coming together seemed to catalyze a transformational shift for both of us. both of us are completely unrecognizable now.

this is definitely the first of many conversations we’ll have on this topic. uranus moved into my 9th house (belief systems) a couple weeks ago and pretty immediately I felt a huge shift in my relationship to human design. its kinda cool to see that something that was absolutely my belief system, that I used to justify or explain away my every move or lack of movement, doesn’t feel that way anymore.
